Additional Eligibility Criteria
The Delhi University has decided that from this year and the arbitrary of colleges will not be allowed any longer in the respect of Additional Eligibility Criteria. The University has finished the arbitrary additional Eligibility Criteria from this year. Now the colleges are not allowed no fix the additional Eligibility Criteria for any course.
DU UG Admissions 2015-16
In previous years the colleges had set the minimum mark bet for the subjects for taking admissions of students and from this year the minimum marks condition of colleges will not work from this year.
Suppose if a candidate match the cut off list for admission in Eco (H) in which the math subject is necessary. So, in that case colleges the used to lay the conditions that the candidates must have the 80 or 90 marks in the math subject to get admission into Eco (H) but from this year this colleges are not to apply the terms and conditions.
The admissions in UG programs will be commenced from the first week of June 2015 and the candidates have the options to apply through online mode and offline mode. The University will give more significance to the online offline applications.
Suppose the admissions will be continue for 14 days so in that case only 4-5 days will be for offline applications. Like as last year’s there will no 15-20 admission offline centers for submission of offline applications. In 2015-16 sessions there will be only 4-5 centers for offline admission process.
In the last meeting of DU admission Committee members, University has decided that the from this year University will not print the Prospectus even the offline candidates have also get the E-prospectus from the official website of DU. The only offline candidates can get a slip in which the instructions for filling the application form will be mentioned so as to candidates have to not face any problem in the time of filling the application form.
Gap year Admission
The university has finished the rule of gap year from this year, now the candidates who are having gap in their education are eligible to take admission into UG program. What used to happen earlier, the colleges did not accept the gap of one year for admission of candidates but from here in after such practice will not continue.
6 to 8 cut off
The University has instructed the colleges that in this year each colleges release maximum 8 cut off lists for admissions under various UG Programs. After the each cut off three or four days will be given for admissions and it is also possible that after the admissions process of colleges will get one day gap for releasing the another cut off list.
5% will be deducted for changing the stream suppose the student of commerce, science migrate to art course so in this case 5% marks will be deducted from his cut off. Besides of this including non-elective subject in the best of four will be the cause of reduction of 2.5% marks.
