DU Started Punjabi (Honours) For Undergraduate Course:

The Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce-Delhi University Punjabi (Honours) has being started from 2015-16 academic sessions. Lately, the Director of Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee and the Main head of Delhi University Punjabi department and other college’s principles held meeting together to consult about to adding the Punjabi (Honours) subject in DU courses.

The Punjabi (Honours) has been approved by the Delhi University Head of Punjabi Department and Director of Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee. From this year Punjabi (Honours) is not only an optional subject now it become a regular and main course.  In Delhi 4 DU Colleges are managed under the DSGPC among of them in Guru Gobind College of Commerce the Punjabi (Honours) course has stared.

According the Main Head of Punjabi Department of DU the seats for Punjabi (Honours) will be increased so as to candidates in huge quantity will apply for DU Punjabi. Increase the in the seats will be beneficial not only for Sikh candidates besides of them it is also very good for those students who are coming from other students.

The committee has decided to give the relaxation in percentage of 3% to 5% to every community candidate who wants to take admission in Punjabi (Honours). According to the committee this will develop the Punjabi language and it will also increase the craze among the students for Punjabi (Honours).
