The Faculty of Law, University of Delhi (DU) Admissions 2017: Delhi University Admission Cell is going to notify about the Admissions to LLB/ LLM Admissions 2017. Admission Notification along with the detailed Application form/ Filling Dates/ Application fee/ Entrance Date/ Syllabus & detailed Prospectus is likely to be notified here upon. Based on the Candidates performance in the Delhi University Law Admission Test (DU LAT) 2017, shall prepare the Common Merit List for admission into LL.B. and LL.M. Courses for the Academic Year 2017.

DU BA B.SC B.Com Admissions 2016-17 Cut Off List College Wise List

The Delhi University, Faculty of Law shall announce within Two Weeks the Results of Law Entrance Test. The Controller of Examination, in coordination with the Law Faculty, shall host Counseling for the Merit listed Candidates for admission into Bachelor of Laws / Master of Laws Course.

The University of Delhi (UoD) shall host DU Law Entrance Test as per the Syllabus prescribed and as the Pattern of Delhi University Law Admission Test  (DU LAT) of Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions shall be based on Intermediate and General Issues.

Delhi University’s upcoming Notification concerned to Law Entrance Test  (UD LET) 2017 for admission into Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) Course for the Academic Year 2017, we would like to share the Eligibility Criteria (stated by the University Law Faculty) under Eligibility for Admission for LL.B. and LL.M as being repeated in the modified format for the ready reference of the candidates aspiring for DU LL.B. Entrance Test / LL.M. Entrance Test 2016.

We do anticipate the Faculty of Law, Delhi University to release in May 2016 the Detailed Official Notification and Information Bulletin for the candidates.

Bachelor of Laws

Eligibility for Admission: The Eligibility Criteria for General, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe Candidates and Persons with Disabilities is as given in the Ordinance.

The Eligibility Criteria* for admission to Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Degree Course is as follows:

For the General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) Candidates must have in possession Graduate / Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as Equivalent by the University of Delhi with, at least 50% Marks or an Equivalent Grade Point in Aggregate in either of them. However, the Cut-off Marks for admission of Other Backward Classes Candidates shall be up to 10% less than the Marks notified for General Candidates in Delhi University Bachelor of Laws Entrance Test (DULBET) 2017.

Relaxation of up 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates shall be allowed to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category. (In compliance of the Judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in P.V. Indiresan v. Union of India and Others).

Relaxation of up to 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates will be allowed to Widows / Wards of Defence Personnel (WDP) Category.

Relaxation of up to 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates would be allowed to the Candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped (PH) Category on the recommendations of the Medical Board as per the Prescribed Procedure.

Master of Laws

Eligibility for Admission:

The Eligibility Criteria for General, Other Backward Classes (OBC) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) Candidates and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) is as given in the Ordinance.

The Eligibility Criteria* for Admission into Master of Laws (LL.M.) (Two-Years / Three-Years) Degree Course shall be as follows:

For General Category and Other Backward Classes (OBC) Candidates, a Three-Years / Five-Years LL.B. Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as Equivalent by the University of Delhi with Minimum 50% Marks or an Equivalent Grade Point in Aggregate. However, the Cut-off Marks for Admission of the OBC Candidates shall be up to 10% less than the Marks notified for General Candidates in the DU Master of Laws Entrance Test (LMET).

The Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) having a Three Years / Five-Years’ LL.B. Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as Equivalent by the University of Delhi with Minimum 45% Marks or an Equivalent Grade Point in Aggregate in either of them.

Relaxation of 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for General Candidates would be allowed to the Widows / Wards of Ex-Service Men / Serving Personnel (CW) Category.

Relaxation of up to 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates shall be allowed to the Candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped (PH) Category on the recommendations of the Medical Board as per the Prescribed Procedure.

Relaxation of up to 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates will be allowed to Other Backward Classes (OBC) Category. (In compliance of the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in P.V. Indiresan vs. Union of India and Others).

Relaxation of up to 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates will be allowed to Widows / Wards of the Defence Personnel (CW) Category.

Relaxation of up to 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates would be allowed to the Candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped (PH) Category on the recommendations of the Medical Board as per the Prescribed Procedure.

*The Other Backward Classes Candidates shall be given a relaxation in the Minimum Eligibility in the Qualifying Examination and in the Minimum Eligibility (if any) in the Admission Entrance Test to the extent of 10% of the Minimum Eligibility Marks prescribed for the General Category Candidate.

General / Other Backward Classes Category – Registration Fee of Rs 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only)

Scheduled Caste  / Scheduled Tribe  Candidates & Persons with Disabilities  Registration Fees of Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only).
