Delhi University DU “Best of Four Subjects” Formula 2017, Common Rules, College / Course Wise Cut Off:

The Delhi University (DU) Online Registration for admission into different Courses is in progress with the Deadline for Online Application Forms will be released shortly at the official website of the university. At the time of filling application form its require to provide your class 12th best four subjects marks details. On the basis of best four subject marks, you will be eligible for admission in respective college where you fall in cut off list.

DU Best of Four Subjects Formula 2017

The Delhi University (DU) would like to brief the candidates seeking admission into different Courses on the Combination / Best of Four Subjects as stated in the Table. Delhi University has notified the Combination of the Best of 04 Subjects with the Criteria for admission into the Colleges Affiliated the Apex University as explained in the following Table.      

Best Scoring 04 Subjects for Admission:
Academic / Elective Subjects Deduction of 2.5 % Marks, if  Advantage Points (Positive) Disadvantage Points (Negative)
Physics, Chemistry, Punjabi, History, Political Science, German, Italian, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Home Science, Hindi, History, Urdu, Zoology, Sociology, Statistics, Political Science, Mathematics, Persian, Music, French, History, Computer Science, Commerce, Economics, Physical Education, Geology, Geography, Philosophy, Arabic, Bengali, Botany, The University of Delhi has incorporated the Vocational Courses taught at the Central Board of Secondary Education Level. Delhi University has given space the Central Board of Secondary Education offered Vocational Courses space in the Best of Four Subjects for admission into the Colleges affiliated with the University that are offering the said Courses. However, the students apart from the officially notified Subjects seeking admission into Vocational Subjects shall have 2.5% Marks deducted against the same. The Candidates aiming to pursue Honors Program shall have an advantage of 02% in case they might have studied Elective Language. The Candidates apply for admission and are aiming to seek admission into Honors Course, if had not studies Language in 12th Class / Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination shall have a deduction of 05% Marks out of their Marks in the Best of Four at the time of Admission.
For admission into English / Hindi Honors, it is imperative for the students to mention in the Application / Admission Form that he / she had studied the Subject and also that need to be added into the Best of Four Subjects.
The Candidates, seeking admission into B.A. (Honors) Economics / Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) should have necessarily studied the Subject Mathematics in their Class 12.
The Candidates aiming to seek admission into B.A. Vocational Course shall have to opt for only Academic / Elective Subjects for the same.
The University shall only deem / consider Music as Music (Honors) and Physical Education as Physical Education Honors as Academic / Elective Subjects.
The University of Delhi shall put Accountancy and Commerce on par ever since the Central Board of Secondary Education and other Boards have not set apart Commerce as a Subject.
Delhi University for admission into B.Sc. Honors – Computer Science shall treat Informatics Practices Subject on par with Computer Science.
The Candidates shall be allowed to opt for Biology, Biotechnologies and Business Studies as Academic / Elective Subjects forming part of Best of Four Subjects.

The University of Delhi is likely to release as many as 10 Cut-Off Lists with an interval of Three Days for the candidates seeking admission into the Affiliated Colleges opted for by the Applicants.
